Information about the New York Rangers


The New York Rangers are an Eastern conference team, which is a part of the Atlantic division, and their home city is New York, New York. When looking for fans of the New York Rangers you can simple look for anyone wearing the American colors red, white and blue within Madison Square Garden on game day. Madison Square Garden is the home arena for this team, and that in and of itself should show how much New York loves their teams. Especially in light of the name, they have chosen for themselves.

This National Hockey League team has a great set of people behind it when it comes to how it is run and how they play. The owner of the team is actually the Madison Square Garden, L.P. The General Manager of the New York Rangers is Glen Sather with the head coach as Tom Renney. They say it takes a great deal for a Canadian to choose an American hockey team which makes both of these men being Canadian an even more impressive fact about the team.

The Captain of the team is Chris Drury who plays the center and shoots right. He has also played for the Buffalo Sabres, Calgary Flame sand the Colorado Avalanche which shows a great amount of experience in those facts alone but then add into that he also has played for over ten years professionally on teams. This Connecticut boy has come a long way and he now is the man for the New York Rangers team. He not only brings team spirit with him but encourages his team to do their best in every game and show the country why they are named the New York Rangers.

New York is home to many different sports teams, with one of the most popular being hockey teams like New York Rangers. Aptly named for their prowess and skill on the ice, they have retained a name for themselves in the history of the NHL and they will no doubt continue to do so for many years. It is perhaps most notable that the Rangers who bear the name of the famous rangers of the army should stand tall as a hockey team for New York City, demonstrating to the world that no matter what comes our way the people of New York City and the nation will continue to stand tall and proud.

New York City has had a difficult history in recent years, but it is still perhaps one of the two most well known cities in the United States. It is fitting the New York Rangers should find a home here and that they have a chance to play the game they lose so well, sharing their love and their hard efforts with all of their fans. New York might have been hit hard, but the spirit of the New York Rangers and their fans will help to restore it.
